Tremors and Tractors

Don't have my tremor yet but this is my 17 Massey Ferguson 1739E. Maintains the driveway at home and takes care of the private dr up north where I have my camp.

I hauled a couple of tractors on our 32' deck gooseneck yesterday, from the valley up over the Sierra Nevadas. "What load?" said the Tremor. Single-digit fuel mileage I am sure, but no problem driving the speed limit up any of the grades. I have a 40-gallon Transfer Flow toolbox/tank in the bed to extend the range. I have airbags on the Tremor to keep it from squatting. About 40 psi for this load. The trailer has 12k axles with hydraulic disc brakes and stops very well.

Need to bump the tractor thread. Just loaded up this double drop heading to the Mountain Ranch, California area tomorrow. Getting two tractors with loaders and backhoes on the big trailer is easy enough, but adding a bunch of implements triples the time to get this loaded and strapped down. The game is to count the implements.

Quite the haul and a nice pair of Bransons.

Dave believes in the “Go big or go home!” philosophy 👊

I took “Grandpa’s tractor” to a Celebration of Life for my grandmother recently. We held it at a historic schoolhouse just down the road from their old ranch. The tractor was adorned with an old family photo of us around grandpa’s tractor in the 70’s. It was a big hit!
My bro-in-law accuses of taking a tractor with me everywhere I go… that’s right, when you have a TREMOR why not

...which got me in trouble yesterday. After driving down a super narrow windy 1 mile long drive with no turnout spots, using the rub rails on some shrubs and small trees, I got to the last corner and my truck and trailer flat out would not fit the radius of this corner with a big oak tree on the inside. I unloaded everything and used the tractor to make enough room on the outside of the corner to get around the tree. 500 feet later I was at the customer's house and had to use all of my skill and some of my luck to get it all turned around. Fortunately the customers were super nice and kind of needed the remains of an old shed and a couple dead tress moved anyway.

Pictures are after I cleared a path. I missed the tree by about 1".

Very cool!! Can't think of a better way to honor someone's life.

Oh man what a day! Mt Ranch is no small journey from where you’re at to begin with!

Wouldn't have been so bad if most of that greenery near the big tree wasn't poison oak. Had to walk through that a few times. As of today, it seems I have avoided a reaction.

Hmmm, all made for work, all can move stuff. I dunno, the orange one? 😂
