2023 Super Duty Truck orders at Granger Ford $1500 Over Invoice or X-Plan

To add on to the ‘24 MY order bank question…Are any ‘23 Platinums moving into production yet?

Over a few glasses of wine over the weekend, I chuckled when thinking back to the Superduty release event last September, Ford seems to be sticking literally to Farley’s words (used over and over again) that these trucks are “for the builders”. Obviously this dumb notion of mine assumes the builders only buy the base line of he trucks.

They've been very slow.

A quick update for the end of the 2023 model year.

We received allocation for 80 trucks on the final allocation for 2023. We have 23 outstanding customer orders. So the great news is we have more than enough allocation to cover outstanding orders, now does Ford have the ability to cover the commodities requested? That is what we will find out.

Also for 2024 We will place retail orders at a discount again. If we have any orders that do not get filled for 2023, we will give those carryover orders an even bigger discount percentage if they choose to re-order.

Thanks for everyone hanging in there with your patience!

Zach

Is it true we should be finding out in the next 2 weeks if our orders will be built?? I'll definitely place another order if mine doesn't get scheduled.

Is DRW F450 back on the menu?

It will be a couple of months before this final allocation is scheduled.

How about if we placed an order with you in 2021 for a 2022 that never got built?

We will run a more aggressive pricing structure for 2024 than we did in 2023. I believe we'll have a better supply moving forward and as long as we don't get too backlogged, I would like to be more aggressive with how we are pricing these trucks for everyone.

Interesting... Long McArthur posted a video yesterday that he was saying that Ford is going to schedule 13 weeks of builds in these next 2 weeks. And KR and above would be at max capacity to build as many as they could...Was just curious on the validity of his statements.

Yes, the build out is for 2 months of production so 13 weeks is feasible within that. From what I've heard they are going to try to prioritize those orders that were 2022 to 2023 carryover orders and get those scheduled if at all possible. Of course retail orders will be prioritized over stock as well.

Good idea. With MSRP sky rocket high on the new gen, your discount wasn’t aggressive enough for someone to say drive from east coast for a deal. Even locally more and more dealers are starting to take xplan on their lot inventory. The market is changing and one has to adjust quickly to stay on top. I will still purchase my ESP through Granger, though, when the time comes.

As an owner of a 2021 purgatory truck (I waited 4 months for mine - due in April and delivered in August) I am amazed at the persistent brand loyalty here. Lets hope for faster deliveries with top-notch quality.

If we have a 23 KR ordered with the HO diesel engine, any chance it gets built in 23?

I’ll be going from west to east when my truck is built. In the run up to and shortly after the order banks opened, I couldn’t get the 5 ford dealerships closest to me here in the Bay Area to return a call or email to order a Super Duty. I ended up ordering from Granger. Only after I replaced my order (I did have to wait a bit) did I get a note from one of the Bay Area dealerships. Even with a flight and the drive home, I should still be cheaper than what the dealerships here will charge. Also, I’ll get to see family in a few stops along the drive back….so added bonus!

About 50% of the order bank has the HO option... the factory only has parts for 10% of the order bank to put in HO engines. Likely 20% chance your order gets built at this point.

They are going to try to produce as many as they can remaining. I don't know what that equates to at the end of the day versus orders they have in the system.

My dealer (Sam Packs Five Star Ford) in Carrollton Tx is a refundable $200 deposit and sold at MSRP. My 22 I actually got $2500 under MSRP. I'm pretty happy with them. I didn't feel they were trying to screw me just because they can.

I am looking forward to putting in an order for a 24 when your order banks open!
