What did you do to your Tremor today?

Well, it's day 34 of my 23 being in production, and in anticipation of it eventually, within the year, making its way to SC, I went ahead and purchased 37x13.50r17 Geolander X-ATs and the 3in Rough Country Leveling kit for it. I cheaped out on the spare and ordered a Delium Terra Raider in 12.50 wide for 18R. Im going to pay the credit cards back before ordering my Black Rhino Abrams rims, so do y'all buy them out before I get mine, please 😆. Happy Friday!

Had the Amp power step extreme, Onyx6 40” bar, fog light kit and rear lights installed today. I’m in love.

Oh boy…got to test out the lights now that it’s dark. These are truly impressive. God help the first person to flash their brights at me when I don’t have my brights on. 😂

Had a break in the atmospheric river so I installed the OEM hood/bug deflector I bought using FordPass points. Second deflector installed after the POS eBay look-a-like broke driving to SoCal during the Jan bomb cyclone. Much better fit and finish.

I finally installed a set of Timbren bumpstops that I ordered last fall. I decided to give them a quick test run with my my trailer, which has a tongue weight of approximately 950 pounds. The difference is noticeable - the truck feels more stable and is nearly level now. Next week, I have a trip planned and I'm excited to see how it performs over a longer distance with the WDH.

Any reason why you ended up going the timbren route over sumo springs or airbags?

I thought airbags would be overkill for what I'm towing and there were quite a few positive reviews on the forum for the Timbren setup:

I went with the Timbren FR250SDJ Kit. - https://amzn.to/3ytPfNc

I feel like I shook hand with Edward Scissor Hands...
Busy last few days.
Got new windshield tinted, 70% Xpel XR.
Installed Banks Pedal Monster.
Installed Blend Mount radar detector.
Hardwired radar detector, with mute button by trailer backup knob, need to tape it down still. Ran power to passenger fuse panel, and radar cable up drivers side a-pillar, after trying pass a-pillar and being 6" too short 🤦‍♂️
Hardwired dash camera. Cam and radar were previous installed just using cigarette plugs.
Connected ZFlash to upfitter #5 (what a pain), and cleaned up cabling using Tesa tape.

I want to find out who at Ford made the decision to make the upfitter pass through cabling so short on both ends. My hands are all sliced up from trying to get in there. I feel like an extra 8" of cable would make things SOO much easier. Then hiding the other side under the fuse panel? I mean seriously! Had the person who decided all this ever worked on a vehicle in their life? Ok rant over..

Nice @modified ! Interested to hear your thoughts after a longer tow...

@TremorHopeful I would expect Sumos to react in a somewhat similar fashion to Timbrens. I chose the Timbrens since rubber has some inherent damping ability along with adding spring rate to help reduce sag. Not sure how much, if any, it actually helps without doing a back to back comparison between the two products with all other factors held constant...

One loose analogy I can draw is to compare rubber OEM bushings to poly aftermarket. The polys will transmit more vibration, the rubber will will isolate to a certain degree. Now that is not quite apples-apples since typically the poly bushings will have a higher spring rate...

If someone wants to send me a set of Sumos I'll do an A-B-A test, though :p

I didn’t use any silicone. The pads seemed pretty thick enough. I guess I will keep an eye on it.
Update: it has been almost 3 years since installing the cab lights without extra silicon and have had zero issues. I hope I didn’t jinx myself lol.

^^^^THIS^^^^ everywhere!!!! Even 1-2 inches more cable would make it so much easier in certain areas.
