Hey all,

I’ve got some F150Leds running board lights and lighted sills. This is what I came up instead of having 8 posi tap connections.

Would appreciate any feedback yall can give me and suggestions on any better ways. Came up with it with the help of Claude since I’m a complete wiring rookie, but I’m starting to pick up little bits and pieces.

For the lit sills, easiest/quickest way to illuminate them is tap into ambient lighting. Are you installing 2 or 4 lighted sills?

Edit, I am not sure if XLT trucks have ambient lighting.

I was planning on tapping in to the dome/courtesy wire under the passenger rear sill. Sills on each door each side joins up so it end up as two connections instead of four at the rear door. Plus the connection from each running board.

(Hope that makes sense!)

I have had water in my sills on my 18 F150. I am hesitant to puncture any insulation in the sill troughs.

Your diagram will work. I don't think a wago is sealed or rated for water contact. So try and place them as high up in the sill trough as possible.
Would it be easier to handle each side in the rear door trough?
Not sure how neat you will be able to route the driver side wiring to the passenger side.
