Windshield Wiper Fluid

This amazing truck has the ability to tell me how much soot is in my exhaust, how many more miles I can travel before fueling. But some dips**t could not make the windshield wiper fluid container have a capacity of at least a gallon so that when the light comes on to add more I can use the whole container and not need to figure out the smart thing to do with the quart that is left over. Has anyone ever purchased windshield wiper fluid in something smaller then a gallon? Is it rude to offer it to someone else in the parking lot? Do I leave it next to the trash can in hopes that someone will use it? Do I dare put it in the back only to find it fallen over and leaked all over? ...just silly they can't figure this common sense out.

It doesn’t expire lol. Put it back on the shelf and dump it in next time along with part of the next gallon.

Eh, this has been a gripe of mine since the dawn of my driving age. Either leave me a quart left over or none. I usually leave it next to the trash can with all the empty DEF jugs. I figure if tons of plastic waste is better for the environment than a little NOx, so is a little left over blue juice.

I keep a bunch on the shelf and top our rigs off during oil changes, so I rarely put a full gallon of washer fluid in anything. Never thought twice about it. I guess it would be annoying if you waited until it ran out and then had to fill it in a parking lot somewhere

If Ford calibrated it for you and gallon containers, imagine the turmoil that would erupt for people that use the metric system.

I've refilled my washer fluid and didn't use the entire gallon without the slightest bit of concern. The left over fluid sat nicely in a garage cabinet until next time it was needed. No animals were hurt, no anger erupted, the planet kept rotating just fine.
