Hello, I have a 22 f250 7.3 gas. I have all the parts needed and fluid, etc. to change the transmission oil and filter. The only confusion I have is my 10 R140 has a port 19 mm plug on a passenger side and then a driver side 10 mm Allen port. Some say you can use both ports one to fill one to check. I’ve seen other messages where they say you can only add and check on the Passenger side .I am confused…..which do you exactly use ?can you fill on the Passenger side and check on the driver side, which is what I thought you could do thank you.

While you can use the 19 mil plug, there is no reason to do so. The driver side plug is perfectly acceptable to use as a fill and level check.
The passenger side plug is great for those that have transmissions where the level port was value engineered out.

Hey thank you sir!

No problem, my good man!
This short video shows the different fill methods the newer Fords have. He mentions the fill plug, but you don’t have to bother with it. Especially if you have a gas engine, as the exhaust can be a lot hotter than the diesel.
