Trailer Backup Assist Pro Kit Connector/Plug

Hi,

today I wanted to start and install my Trailer Backup Assist Pro Kit which came with the truck in July.

But unfortunately this connector from the kit (picture 1)
the correct plug is in the bed!! (picture 2)
doesn't fit into the plug outside the truck!!??!! (picture 3)


I am wrong or.... ???

I received a separate plug that replaced the 4 pin in the bumper. I do not have the bed plug, though...

Your truck should have come with a bag of wires and connectors. I had 5. I have the bed plugs and I have one each in the bed, and 2 for the bumper and one that's an adapter.

The bag contained only the plugs that I also expected.
That the plug at the back of the truck is not the right one, I discovered today.

The kit is meant for a 5th/GN. You'll have to buy the plug with the 13 pin from Ford for the bumper. The electrical is there, just covered.

You may be able to swap the plugs but I have not tried this so I can't advise whether it'll work or not.
