We don't have many but when you run across one on camera..................It is pretty neat. Near Dodge City KS and it was this morning. Click on the pic.

I know right?!!

I just can’t get into the idea of shooting a bear. They’re just such majestic animals. And for as many as we have around here, they really don’t give us much grief. They do tear the branches out of the fruit trees when there’s a good crop, which sucks. One season I hung cow bells in the trees to wake me up. I shot one bear with 12 gauge rubber slugs on 3 different nights. The 3rd time I got really close, it hit him hard, and he got friggin pissed! I thought he was going to charge me, but then he turned and ran off, crashing through the brush. I got lucky.

Need to make sure you have lead slugs behind one or two rubber slugs.
