I currently have an aftermarket TPMS for my trailer so I decided not to purchase the $500 option on my new build. After going camping this last weekend I started to have second thoughts. The issue is my current TPMS has a small range to set the tire pressure alarm which is like 45-74 PSI. The issue is I max out my pressure at 65 PSI cold but once I start to travel it easily gets to 74 PSI in no time then the damm thing beeps at me the entire trip. Mind you, I only paid a fraction of what Ford wants for theirs. What are your thoughts on this option? Is it worth it to add for use with a trailer?

I am old school, I check the pressure and adjust it before trips. and Have a quality gauge with me. I have lots of trailers from enclosed car, snowmobile, boats, pontoon boats, and my 41' Grand Design 5er.

I did have one blow out last year in the Rocky Mountains.

If you keep your equipment in good condition you should be fine. My bigger trailers need 125 psi and not all systems go that high.

I know a guy down the street and his toy hauler is so long the signal doesn't always reach, its a huge PITA.

TRUCK SYSTEM TECHNOLOGIES TST 507 Tpms W/6-18 Cap Sensors..... We use this on our 30ft trailer.. It has a wide range of settings and its simple to program..??
