Thoughts on those upgrades??? 2023 Tremor

I could be wrong, but I was looking at the OP's goal as only wanting to soften the stiff ride, which is mainly from the factory leaf springs. I didn't read it as trying to save a buck. Not everyone wants a "leveled" truck. Maybe they don't want the added height, or they want to retain the factory rake....assumed he might be one of those owners, in which case, his plan sounds good to me

I do agree that shocks should be considered, but I don't necessarily think that a matched front/rear suspension pkg is absolutely necessary. Worst case is, he decides to add the front parts later. No big deal.
Exactly my point. Thank you.

No, I understood the idea, Im actually planning to do something similar on my new truck (but will be getting shocks at the same time).

I was more commenting that it’s a bit shortsighted to drop nearly $5 grand on parts and then not finish it by getting shocks so that the package actually works as intended. I made the comment on cost because doing it “right” wouldnt be that much more expensive. Skipping a critical component for the whole system to work properly just seems like a silly thing to do.

like I said. i think the Tremor shock are built for more travel than the stock ones, so i figured i try them out with that set up, as they look cool with the graphics. But changing shocks is an easy DYI at home if i feel they are not doing the job. Wanted to skip pkgs with front lift. Keep it OE standing with more progressive rear and front sway bar. We'll see. let us know how your changes go.

Yes, who you talk to does have a lot to do with it, but if you explain your use case I think it'll go a long way.

We have virtually all the products you stated in stock, or coming within the next 14 days. We can pass along a forum discount to you as well.
thank you! i'll keep in mind for next mod. had already order those parts locally in FL.

UPDATE:

So the above upgrades were done. And got some miles under it. Honestly very noticeable difference and much improved ride. For my application and what I wanted I think this is the best value with high end parts. Might add shocks later but doesn’t feel like the factory shocks are struggling. Also it looks a little more level altho it wasn’t one of the objectives. Here are some of the pics of parts installed.

you did leafs, shackle, sway bar and links...
you said it looks a little more level, do the leafs make the rear sit lower?
thanks

It seems.. maybe 1inch or so. Didn’t measure the before. But to the eye it looks more level. And yes it would be the softer leafs that caused that.

had carli leafs, shackles, and pinion shims installed today.
leafs are for sure softer than the stocks.
they are not as tall as the factory tremor leafs and 3.25" blocks.
the rear is nearly a full inch lower.

Why the shims? Doing change to the front?
