I wanted to share my experience with Ford Corporation during my recent 2027 F350 Lariat purchase which I had placed a retail factory order on 23JUN26. As Ford has continuous, ongoing public offering purchase incentives for Military, First Responders, etc., I was able to claim and was awarded a certificate by Ford to use for my 2027 F350 purchase.
When my X-Plan truck was delivered, my dealer informed me that Fords Smart/VINCENT database rejected my certificate stating solely, it was not valid for 2027 model year vehicle purchases. Using the X-Plan, I had Price/Incentive protection, so the timing was not an issue, it was just about 2027 use. I thought, wow, must be a mistake, Dealer agreed. They did their due diligence thinking it would be corrected. But no, Ford would not honor their own certificate stating is was NOT applicable for 2027 vehicles.
I assume my Dealer knew Ford HQ was screwing me, so my Dealer stepped up and gave me $1K out of their own pocket in the form of 200,000 Ford Pass "Goodwill" points which were immediately used as a equivalent $1k off of the selling price for me. So I'm good with my outcome but leave now knowing Ford is not what I thought it was. I hope they come around and see what they did and at least now correct and award my dealer the refund.
