Regular Cruise Control Eco Mode

7.3 regular old CC. I had it set at 75 in eco mode. I was in WV over the weekend and there are few passes that are 7-8% grade downhill and 4-6 miles long. By the time I got to the bottom the cruise had down shifted to 5th and was turning 4500 rpms..speed was still 75. I would expect this I'm tow mode but is this normal for eco mode to?

Cruise will do what it has to do to maintain set speed. If you don’t brake to keep RPMs down, then yes.
