Question about my headlights

Hello, a few months ago I purchased a 2021 F-350 Tremor. I noticed on my headlights both the bottom and upper lights are on, didn’t think much of it as inside the cab the high beam symbol isn’t on and the high beams come on and off when I flip the switch.

But I’ve noticed a couple other similar trucks to mine with only the bottom lights on (the upper ones were not lit).

So now I’m wondering which is right? I’ve tried turning off and on the lighting dial left of the steering wheel but nothing changes.

I’ve attached two photos, the first one is normal lighting on.
The second one is with the high beams turned on. Is his how it should be? Should all four headlights be on in normal drive mode?

My 21 is operating the same as yours as far as I know.

I believe that is a feature that can be turned on and off in with ForScan. You should be able to see a difference when you turn the high beams on and off at night.

I do. When I switch the high beams on/off I can see the difference in the lighting.

That's normal operation for 20-22 led lights. I believe the high beam buckets stay partially illuminated like that for shining on road signs and such on low beam.

Maybe the top/bottom configuration has something to do with Platinum LED projector vs. non-Platinum LED vs. halogen?

My '22 Lariat Ultimate w LED has both illuminated when the lights are on.
I have also seen some with the top high beam light off and wondered the same.
