Same here. I change oil and rotate tires every 5k. Has been a great strategy on every vehicle i have owned.

I guess I'll be fine then. I kinda get screwed with my oil changes. My 2025 Tremor was used, 6300 miles, when I bought it and it came with a free dealer lifetime powertrain warranty as well as the factory warranty. The condition of the liftetime warranty is I have to strictly follow maintenance intervals and by a certified shop or dealer. I can't do backyard oil changes as I have to send a copy of my receipt with all information on it to the warranty company. I only put about 1000 miles on my truck a year (2nd vehicle) and the oil change interval is every 7500 miles or 6 months, whichever comes 1st. So I'm basically forced to change my oil after 500 miles twice a year.
My plan for my new to me 2023, is to follow the same methodology as my old Toyota - every 5K miles or 6 months. I'm new to Ford, but Toyota knows how to maintain a vehicle.
6mo rule is mostly aligned around those that do a lot of idling and not tracking hours. I asked Blackstone about the mileage vs every 6/12 mo rule that is tossed around when I had my excursion, we used it mostly for traveling so it spent a lot of life on a trickle charger and like a Friday to work vehicle or a sunday around town. Their short answer was "modern oils won't expire on time" There's so many additives that keep it from breaking down but they said if it's something that does sit a while you need to at least turn the engine over and prime it or do top lube if it sits for extended periods. If you have something that sits for like 2 years, they only recommend swapping it out because hot/cold cycles can pull condensation into the oil and it's more or less best practice - like diesel fuel that sits in a fuel tank or storage tank.
I wish that Ford didn’t take away the gallons used from the dash display. That was something I paid attention to more than miles or the IOL monitor. With low idle time, it is a better indicator of how hard the engine has been to working.
I change mine every 5k. Almost to 15k switched to PPE filter over factory. Been on Full synthetic since 5k. Cheap insurance most of my driving is towing.
I do like the PPE filter. Been waiting for it to come back in stock.
7500. Drain water separator each time and change filters every other time.
PPE. Filters better than the Wix 57151, plus there is more surface area.

Every 4-5k miles, rotate tires and fuel filters every 3rd oil change. I stick with Ford/Motorcraft products. Don't see any reason to change with zero issues over 30 years.
I've been changing oil for ~21 years now. First time I've ever had a gasket "fail" on me. First oil change at 1.2k miles. Took off old filter, checked the new filter gasket vs OEM filter O.D. locations as a last second double check before screwing it on hand tight. Oiled the gasket, cleaned the metal surface of the oil filter housing. Cranked up the truck. Heard a weird noise, turned off the truck. Oil was just gushing out of the filter and the gasket was blown to the side. I'm assuming at one point the gasket popped out when installing but it was in the groove before putting it on.
Went to autozone and walmart and all the 820S gaskets I could knock out of the groove by just rolling my fingers on it side to side. Bought a M-210A, and the gasket was much more secured in the groove.
So yea, a simple oil change turned into a nice oil spill cleanup lol.

changed the oil yesterday. 1st one, 1k miles. it had a distinct green tint to it. i have never seen that before.
I guess oil change interval kinda depends on the oil. Im in a 2020 6.7 Tremor 250 and ran highways for 5 years dino oil the first 50k miles at 65-7500 miles. The 50k-159k I've been running T6 full synthetic to about 10k miles. Fram filters and oil purchased at Walmart. I'm planning to keep it forever.

While word on the interweb is that color is a dye for oil leak identification, I’ve never seen any verification of that.
My suspicion (from my own engine work) is that tint comes from the assembly lube. Brad Penn, Lucas, and Lubegard are all green.
