New truck and new to F250s, what are these connections for by the trailer hitch?

Used on different optioned trucks. I can't remember if this is for the OEM 5th wheel prep package.
Correct, you can plug this into a pigtail to connect the bedside hitch and camera connections.

do you think I could use them for reverse lights?

Probably not without causing issues. Can’t use any trailer wiring or it can mess things up and think you have a trailer hooked up.

Yes you could definitely use them for reverse lights. I have a write up on page 6 of my build thread.

And here are a few other pictures of what I did.

Awesome thanks for your response

Oh and I have bumper pulled a few times since putting in the lights and I haven’t had any issues so far. I don’t have the 5er setup. It may be totally different if you have the 5er prep and intend on using it but I can’t comment on that personally.

I was hoping for a plug-n-play adaptor but of course nothing is ever that easy. I can't even find anything on line to determine what kind of connection they are

One of the first things I do is to open them up, add a little
Dielectric grease, then wrap them up water tight with waterproof tape. These trucks suffer from Electrical gremlins. This will help to avoid water intrusion into the electrical system. Also, keep the Lid of Fuse Block in the engine compartment on, and closed tight. Moisture is the devil.
