Need some help with Forscan

Yelling at the top of my lungs is all it took. I went back out to the truck for the 50th time and tried again and low and behold, it fucking worked!

Here's the stupid part that I think it was. I changed where I plugged the adapter into my computer. Used the usb port on the other side of my laptop and it read new device added..and thats all it was apparently.

Does that work with the wife too?

LOL! Glad you figured it out. I get all the screen shots of changing the TPMS Placard numbers, I guess I'll save them in case someone else needs help.

Would you mind posting those screenshots when you get a chance?

My OBDLink adapter just came in this evening, I updated the drivers and downloaded FORscan. Tomorrow I’ll plug into the truck and see if it will communicate. The first thing I want to change is the TPMS thresholds!

Thanks

Here you go!

When you first connect by pushing the little button on the bottom left, you should see something like this:

Then click the third from the bottom icon on the left panel that looks like a diagonal computer processor chip and you will see the below list. Click on the BdyCM line and push the Play button on the bottom left.

Scroll down to the TPM section and you can edit the pressures there on the TPM - Placard Front and Rear lines - write it and you are done!

Gotta love operator error! Hahaha

Sounds like a terrible time but with some relief at the end.

Well, I couldn’t get my extended license today because evidently I wasnt registered on the FORscan forum yet even though I thought I had already signed up. Now I’m waiting for an admin to approve me to join the forum so that I can get the extended license. Does anyone know how long it takes to get a response after you register for the first time?

it can take about a day but a option you can always do it spend $10 for one year of forscan i have 3 fords and i help other people out so the $10 is worth it in my book and you never know when you want to change some settings later on

I plan on getting at least one or two years, as I plan to keep this Truck for as long as possible. So, I’d like to have the ability to use the software whenever I need it.
oh, and BTW I finally got my email last night late. So, now I’m on the forum and can request the extended license and purchase my 1 or 2 year subscription.
