MY 22 dash wrap

Currently in the process of tracking down rattles and squeaks in the dash and decided to wrap all of the grey plastics matte black. Overall pretty straightforward remova process.

Using 2080 3m Mattel black and 1080 3m carbon fiber for the door accents and sliding door.

Will update with progress when the rest of the material arrives

Update:
The wrap ended up looking like trash so I had everything painted flat black. May still wrap the center console and the door handles.

even with all the trim off, the dash still rattles like crazy. when i put it all back together i'll wrap the plastic guide rods with electrical tape to prevent the squeeks.

i cannot for the life of me figure out how to remove the upper glove box button nor how to get the sliding drawer lid off. might have to wrap both of those in the truck at a later date.

Door wood grain is done. Rears were very easy. The front not so much because of the shape and the door handle in the way. Might redo one of them.

Huge thanks for this. I lost a few of these when I popped my radio bezel off to install a screen protector.

Those orange clips will also work to replace the thinner white one in that same photo, which reduced some trim panel wobbling for me. Any time I remove a panel that has those thinner white clips, I preemptively swap it for the thicker ones.

100 percent worth it. Will take some better photos in the day. Still need to do the glove box button and the steering wheel.

The wrap idea didn’t work. It looked like crap so I sanded all the interior pieces and painted them flat black w a plastic primer and paint.

Yep. I’ll do that next along w the glove box button.

Save yourself some frustration if you ever pull your center console. Clip the bottom plastic pieces so they don’t catch on the sidling drawer ribs. Photos are clipped and uncliped
