Apparently this newest round of closures has something to do with Ford working through a backlog of purgatory trucks. Hopefully this means good things for forum members, some of which have been sitting on orders since as far back as November, I believe. Maybe there's a truck in your driveway before this fall.

Chip shortage causes Ford to slash vehicle production at several plants in July

Ford said it will idle or reduce vehicle production at eight plants for varying periods of time into early August due to the shortage of semiconductor chips.
