LinksWell - GEN IV 12.1" T-Style Radio

Yeah. And you need to pay that fee to ford to have WiFi to watch Netflix and google stuff. Looked sick to me.
No doubt its nice and of course you need data or wifi to watch the internet. haha

My sync 3 in my $20k Fiesta ST was off the hook and when I went to the 19 Tacoma TRD valued at twice my fiesta I could not do 10% with the radio the sync 3 did. I hated it. The new jeeps and Fords have what I wanted in terms of radio quality and operations. I don't want to throw that out just for a big screen. haha. It would be cheaper just to attach an iPad somewhere in the cab. Then I could say I have a Tesla....

Could you post video of tagging artist or songs while recording xm radio so one could play back a song. I believe the oem sync can record up to an hour worth of music for playback regardless of what xm station you are on. It’s awesome!

I could but I’m not sure what you want to see? Do you have factory sync3? That’s what I have so it would be the same as yours.

This video at 2 min and 2:50. Can you use both replay and alert on sirius/xm from your 12.1 screen?

this is the main reason why I haven’t purchased one of these right now too. The GUAutotech is the one Shelby Puts in their trucks. The 12.1” in my ram was super helpful for the larger backup camera image. Doesn’t have all of the Netflix BS but who cares it’s hard enough to drive now a days with all of these idiots who don’t pay attention why add another distraction. Especially on long road trips when your fatigued, that’s a disaster waiting to happen. Your car is for driving and not watching movies. If your kids or passenger want to watch a movie use your iPad

Yes. You retain 100% of your sync systems functionality. Additionally you can add any app that an android tablet can.

here is a pic of mine replaying an hours worth of sxm.

the linkswell puts the buttons on the top which is dumb, but you gain real knobs at the bottom so that’s the compromise. Other brands like guautotech has no knobs, the buttons at the top/front are still there but doesnt retain xm. But seeing it retains 360 cams and XM brings back my interest.

So it keeps the 360 cameras. Good to know. You just lose the volume/tune knobs. How do you turn up the volume on your screen? Button middle right of screen?

Is the 22 degrees C interior or exterior temp?
how big is the navigation screen?

I’ve had Sirius Radio since 2010. We bought life time memberships for my wife’s ride and mine since then. 500$ per car. With a 75$ transfer fee when changing vehicles. We also now have it on my Harley Full dresser and my old ladies Mustang. But we don’t know what tagging artist or songs even mean. I just listen to Lithium and Ozzies Bone Yard and Classic Vynol and my old Ladies favorite Hair Nation. 80s hair Bands. But if you could give me some knowledge of tagging a song I’d love it. Thanks RICTOR. Lovd Sirius Radio. Especially on my bike. No commercials and always have reception where ever we go. They don’t offer lifetimes any more it was 500$ for 3yrs on my Harley. So expensive.

It was called Alert, you hit the alert button during the song and it will give the option to alert you when the artist comes on again or the song comes on again even if it’s a different station.
So you can tag Ozzie and if he is being played on a different station than the one you’re currently listening to an alert will come on your screen: Ozzie is on station....hit the link and it will take you to that station.

I call up when subscription ends and tell them I’m canceling. They generally say we have a $5 a month promotion. $60 a year works for me.

It literally keeps everything the truck has from factory aside from the actual physical knobs in your dash for volume. All your wheel controls etc work. Phone. Bluetooth. Everything.

22C is interior. The volume is bottom right. The Nav screen if you use your sync system is the same size as it would be from factory. The screen is an android- you can download google maps or any other map program you want and it will run it full screen.

Anyone tried wireless android auto with one these?

Can we see a pic google maps full screen?

Doing my research this morning. I believe you have the Phoenix and not the linkswell. The linkswell has no knobs, the Phoenix does. I think I'm going to probably end up buying it, I ordered the SnakeEye IR night vision camera, so now I can hook it to an input vs buying a lock pick to make it work with my factory.

Were you able to order this IR camera & install it? I've been looking at a similar units, wondering the same thing...

How about a review. I was interested in buying this but I had someone on here who said privately that they know 1-2 people that said it faltered all the time and 1 person was trying to sell the unit. I was persuaded to not go that route. Any problems. And again a review and how long you owned it for. Thanks my man

nope. Retains that as well. The entire factory sync system is as functional as it was from factory.

When you say retains Sync ... are you referring to the Phoenix? The linkswell site states sync is not retained.

have had it for ~4 months now. Running Sergey firmware- no issues or complaints. Works flawless.

Did you order just the unit or did you have to add the apple car play dongle, or built in car play options?

I just went with the unit. Ford sync has carplay built in so as long as it doesn't bother you the way it works from factory, it own't bother you on this.
