Leaving the truck sitting for a long period ???

On first crank after storage, I'll hold the gas pedal to the floor so it doesn't fire (if you do this on something other than a newer Ford, make sure your vehicle has this feature lol). Lets oil circulate and build pressure. Then start it normally.
so fun fact, the diesels don't do this, like you, I was use to this with another vehicle (My 2018 F150EB I would do this to get oil in the system for cam phasers and also do it post oil change to build pressure without starting it). Imagine the first time I tried that on my 6.7 and she fired right up and almost immediately tried to rev to the moon.

I stored my high hp trucks over the winter for years never had a problem and these were 1000+ hp trucks

Depending on where you live, you might want to consider some rodent repellant. I use peppermint oil soaked into cotton balls

I bet that was an oh shit moment lol. Figured it went without saying on a diesel but edited my post for clarity 👍🏼

Just looking to see what Ideas we come up with. I will be leaving the truck sit for about 06 weeks. I am considering running a trickle charger out to the truck and leaving it plugged in under the hood. The truck has dual batteries. I don't want to return to dead batteries. Do I need to run 02 trickle chargers? Or are there any other ideas?
ask the same question Ford dealer said to add one charger to driver side battery and that will maintain. both great thought because all the electrical stuff
