I sure can’t figure out dealers. There must be some metric about treating the customer good for about 30 minutes and then being a jerk once the paperwork is signed. My latest issue is so simple, but because the dealer is being horrible, I’ll never go back. Short story, bought the Termor at dealer in WA. I’m in Oregon so it is about a 5 hr drive. Deal went well, super happy. Traded in a Raptor, they sold it while I was sitting there, I actually helped sell it. Then 3 months later I bought another car, an explorer ST. Fast forward a couple months and I still have no registration. Call dealer, as they handled it for a fee, and get the total run around. Multiple calls, no answers, ”what were we talikng about again”, and just plain being a jerk. I was actually looking to buy another car, and they knew that. Finally, after working up the dealership chain, I found out that they held the paperwork for 2 months, then sent it to RegUSA. Ugh. It took multiple emails, calls, and finally me getting mad, just to get a simple question answered.

Now, I won‘t ever go back, and they don’t seem to care. It’s not a huge dealership so you would think they would care. Over the years I’ve had dealers screw with paperwork, damage the vehicle then deny it, lie, try to change the deal, and just plain be stupid. How do they stay in busiess.

You know what, it is me. Standards are just too high. I need therapy.

thanks for listening.

I'm glad you are able to hold yourself together. There are good dealerships, and good people at bad dealerships. It's sad to have to experience this kind of stuff when we all know there's a better way, and it works too. Hang in there brother, we feel your pain. Oh, and BTW your standards are not too high. ;) ? ?

Sorry for the BS you're dealing with. What dealership was it that you went to? We bought an Explorer ST from the west side, Renton, and they were great before the sale, good when we were there for the 45 minutes to sign papers and then shit trying to get things like the registration...

Also, ours is one of the ones that is plagued with the ass end clunk when going over bumps, especially off-camber ones. Seems to be common for the STs, no resolution and many I've read about end up in buy back situations. We are waiting to take ours in on 6 July for the first attempt to get figured out. Using the dealership on this side that I've been using for years. Would have bought from them, but they didn't have the color that the wife wanted.

good gosh. Rather not name the dealer directly, but not far from Renton. Drives me just crazy. Good luck with the ST. Mine is a 2020 and so far only a misaligned sunroof shade. Fingers crossed that all there is.

Thanks. Ours is a 2020 also. Was going to wait and look this year, but Ford rolled out the extra rebates and 0% so I told the wife to find the one she wants and we will get it. Wasn't really in the plans as we just picked up my Tremor on 10 November and then her ST on the day before Thanksgiving.

Ask for the manager--tell them you are ready to file a complaint with the Attorney Generals Office- and this is your last attempt to try to get this matter resolved....

How about the initials? Some of us are local to the area, it’s nice to store this stuff in the memory bank.

Did you see this on the ST site?

Thanks. It isn't a rattle it is a solid clunk coming from the rear end/suspension a little toward the pax side. It almost feels like something is bottoming out. I rarely ride in it because I enjoy my truck, but wife was dropping me off the other day and it was so abrupt it jarred my lower back. I was like WTF! She said that she thought it was just something in the back bouncing around. We got home later that day and emptied everything out of the back, checked the jack and spate and took it for a ride- same thing.

We will see what the shop says...
