How to fix "Rear Belt Monitor Fault" after rear seat removal?

I definitely intend on doing a rear seat delete in the recently acquired super cab and fabricating a storage platform.

I don’t own a newer Windows laptop currently. Only a very old Dell model. Does Forscan need certain operating system requirements. Trying to gain information as I obviously need to up my computer game.

Just to update everyone, I changed the IPC configuration as pointed out above. This removed the e messages and pop ups on the instrument panel. Still had the airbag light. I had to go to the RCM module configuration and select not present on the “second row middle seatbelt sensor” and “second row driver seatbelt sensor.” Only after this was I able to clear the codes in the RCM module and get the airbag light to go away.

Second question, when programming the ipc to get rid of the warnings, this also got rid of the audible warning if I’m not wearing my seatbelt. Normally I wouldn’t care but it’s a company vehicle and seatbelt status is monitored via an obd device. Is there any way to get the audible back for maybe just driver seat?

Good sluething regarding clearing your airbag

You are doing Forscan updates on a company vehicle?! Or maybe I missed it and it's your company so all good.

As far as I know, there is no way to have seat belt chimes work with this setting because this setting tells the truck there are no seat belts at all. Which is the intent for most of us so there are absolutely no chimes nor seat belt pop-up windows at all.

So what is the ODB device monitoring and looking for? If it's "driving while seat belts not buckled", seems like you should be fine because Truck will NEVER think it's driving while seat belts are unbuckled because it will never trigger that pop that warning/chime when in drive.

How and what this device is looking for will dictate if it's an issue. And who is it reporting to?

The device is a GeoTab. I’m not sure what it looks for but I do know that on my 17 model, I had it all turned off and it would still report me if I didn’t wear a seatbelt. Which is fine, I wear it but sometimes forget so the reminder of the truck dinging is nice. I was just wondering because I found this related to the mavericks, figured the super duty would have something similar. If not, oh well.

It is a company truck but boss man knows what’s going on and he wants to remove his rear seats as well so it’s all good. Also fixed pretty much everyone’s Speedo when we all started putting bigger tires on. It’s been useful for everyone so I don’t think they are going to complain.
