Hitting the trails for the first time tomorrow, any advice?

First off I need to say thank you for all the quick responses to this thread. Not knowing what I didn't know, I feared doing something incorrectly then finding out afterwards that I should have done things differently all along. The goods news is, taking the Tremor off-road is very friendly to newbies. I ran most everything in two wheel and engaged 4H when things appeared to be sticky or softer/deep sand.

There were not many downfalls other than the sheer size of this beast compared to the Jeep I went with, he was much more nimble as expected. The trade off however was the power, what the Tremor lacks in nimbleness it makes up with brute strength.

We are complying videos and hope to have something ready to share by the end of the week. My kids unanimously decided that it was more fun when my wife was behind the wheel. She likes to run full throttle so it seems.
Awesome and thans for sharing. It's a good day when going for a "drive" is that much fun. And, it's funny to hear about the kids+wife. Can't beat a family outing like that

Very curious to hear about where you went. Looks like a little over an hour drive from me. I’d love to check out the trail. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

We were in Withlacoochee National Forest, started on Trail 13 at Stage Coach Rd. I believe we stayed on 13, 18, 15 and 20. We took our time and did a few of the fun parts multiple times.

Let me know if you ever want to meet there.

Here are the coordinates of where we started and ended.

The only thing I would add is that the locker isn't for slow speed. Many off road vehicles have a full locker on all the time. I drove my 72 Ford around with a detroit locker for the better part of two decades. The only draw back is some tire wear when turning on asphalt.

2H, traction off, locker engaged and 55 mph is a fun time on most muddy forest roads. If you start to loose traction in 2H, slip into 4H before you dig a hole.

4L is helpful to reduce speed and increase torque. Which from my experience comes in handy climbing hills. Slow and in control is the name of the traction game on anything that's not flat. On the flat stuff you may benefit more from the wheel speed of 4H to clear mud out of the tires. This all depends on the type of soup your running in though. Big heavy trucks don't float across the top of anything.

Here is the video from our trip. There are a few good clips in there. Very fun for our first outing, thanks again for the advice!

We are staying in Kenab and will take small trips to Zion, Bryce Canyon, and the Grand Canyon. Depending on how things go we may shoot up to Moab for a couple of days.

I am still trying to plan what trails are required drives. Right now the only one I am really set on is the trail out to Toroweap Overlook on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.

I will certainly share any trail I drive that
Looks like you guys had some fun right on ??
The kids love it, all they want to do is be outdoors whether exploring off road, hiking, or mountain biking. I feel very fortunate.
