Hitch drop length question

Awesome! 18.5k#? That’ll work. Ordering.
Not compatible with their aluminum hitches according to them (only steel), it will void your warranty. Looks like my luck fails me yet again.

Looking at this in more detail, I think I decided this is not the way to go for me.

1. To use the Weigh-Safe with both ball couplers and pintle couplers I'd need to get two Weigh-Safe racks (scales.) This adds another ~$200 to the cost but more meaningfully also means carrying a second bulky component.

2. I actually avoid using the pintle coupler when towing heavy (which is when the Weigh-Safe would be useful) as it's a much less comfortable tow. I only use a pintle coupler when going off-road (which means a lighter load.)

So I think what I'll do is get a traditional Weigh-Safe ball for heavy on-road towing, and then continue using the Bulletproof for off-road pintle use.

It'd make more sense to just get the typical WeighSafe ball, and keep using the Bulletproof for pintle work since I'd be carrying around multiple bulky hitches in either case.

Sucks they had to invent a very cool product for me to figure that out. πŸ˜‚
