Fordsync4. Not many on this forum should really need this information as I'm certain most of you have the 12" display. My goal with my 2026 XLT Reg Cab is to convert it as close to a Tremor as possible. Long story short, I have the F diff, which is the biggest $$$ portion of this project. For those lurking around with an 8" then hear me out.
However, My XLT only is available with the 8" screen. Trying not to spend $2600 (infotainment) I opted to try the Fordsync4 version when it was on sale. Around $1525 total.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!!! Zero support. Please keep in mind I went through the paces trying to get it to work. Components were not labeled Ford or Motorcraft just to mention. Everything fit good to better, looked factory once installed. I thought all along this process maybe my truck was a little new for their programing.

Long story short, way too many bugs, my 360 camera system had several glitches, and many of the other functions would wig out, turn blank, etc. With little to no communication I opted to phone my CC company. I don't do stuff like that however in this situation, that is the path I took.

In the end I was able to return the kit and was credited back on my CC.

Not certain if I will go down that Infotainment path right away as I'm in the middle of several other modifications etc to this project. Time will tell. The 12" should come in all F250's hands down.

Unfortunately, you aren't the only one with this issue with this company. There is another multi-page thread on here with multiple support issues. Some were able to be resolved to working condition, and others had to return the product.

On the facebook groups I am seeing more about carabc now. This one looks like the product you would use since I think you are already on Sync 4. https://carabc.cn/collections/ford/...-12-screen-replacement-retains-factory-system

Dang I did a search on here and didn't see much of anything. Thanks for the heads up on Carabc.

I just picked up a 2020 Expedition this weekend and was looking for solutions. In all my searching never came across Carabc, so thanks for the info. I was feeling a little defeated since it didn't seem there was a reliable, nor reasonably-priced solution out there. Perhaps this could be more promising.

Looks like it will have to use a Lincoln theme since apparently that's the only Sync 3.4 UI that was ever optimized for the 12" screen resolution. Might be a little weird, but perhaps Forscan can help un-weird it a bit with some customizations. Down the rabbit hole I go to investigate....
