FordPass before you take delivery?

When you order your truck you have a lot of time to think.

Has anyone attempted to load their VIN into FordPass before delivery? Just curious...maybe get notifications that the truck has been started? My guess is the team at Ford already have a way from keeping this from happening. I’m not that familiar with FordPass, so maybe there are additional measures one must add.

I loaded it but you don’t get any notifications what so ever as it requires full activation via the vehicle to actually do anything.

Makes sense. Otherwise you’d just be able to grab VINs off the street and mess with people.

It will help you on delivery day though. When I received the truck the salesman went through all the setup steps for connectivity, app connections, remote start and so on. It was very quick and seamless because my account was already set up.

I received all the updates from the dealer in regards to production and delivery.

Makes sense. Otherwise you’d just be able to grab VINs off the street and mess with people.

Sometimes I start my old 2017 that’s long gone.
