I’m looking to replace the factory halogen headlights on my 2023 Ford Super Duty XLT with the factory Ford LED headlights and grille that came on the higher-trim Super Duties.

Has anybody here done this conversion? I’m wondering how difficult the swap is and whether the factory LED headlights are truly plug-and-play or if any additional wiring, modules, programming, or FORScan changes are required.

I’d prefer to use the OEM Ford LED assemblies rather than aftermarket lights. If anyone has done the conversion, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience and what was involved.

Thanks!

I have no insight on the swap. But I do have a set of factory LED lights on my truck. I have been considering selling them for the alphas

What model are they off of?

I'm also interested in Halogen to LED conversion. Morimoto is reportedly soon coming out with LED upgrades for the 2023+ SD. I'm hoping that they will be very straightforward plug/play installation as rumored.

The AlphaRex install looked a bit more involved than I was hoping, but no re-programming as far as I recall.

My light wire guy told me the Alpharex are having problems and not buy them yet until the bugs are worked out. I know a few here have them. Patiently waiting to see the Morimotos but damn its taking them a bit.

There’s some guys that have done the swap for the rears on the Ford-Trucks forum; those involved harness, lights, and ForScan to do.

I can only imagine the fronts would be worse, especially if you go all the way up up and have to worry about adding the sensors to allow them to point, turn, etc.

I’ve considered both for my KR, but have mainly focused my research on the tails, to go halogen to LED versus the front and go from LED to better LED.

Or maybe it’s all just harness now, stumbled on this…

Morimoto is fine tuning some things. I saw them last year at SEMA. The following video shows John from Morimoto at my shop @Battle Born Offroad:

I love mine. So far so good!

Following. Ive been looking for an option to upgrade to LED fronts only on my '22.

No clue why anyone would order a Latiat Ultimate and no include LED headlights but the original owner of my truck did.
