Just a piece of plastic, not very supportive, I would be skeptical.

What's wrong with plastic? You know Dana is mostly plastic right?

what trim is your truck, do you have adaptive CC? It's behind that on the driver side last I checked; that is why I mention it and you wouldn't be symmetrical.

i have a lariat. funny i only checked behind the passengers side. i’ll have to check it out. i’m not even sure if i have adaptive CC

Can't speak specific to the 23, but on the 22 i don't know if there's much room behind those for the depth of a fog light.

I also have a 22, the clearance behind the plastic is not much, it may clear with a small light but will be tight. There is a metal piece behind there on the driver's side, most likely the same on the passenger side.

I mounted lights in the existing holes next to the plate and used the plastic panel for my Noco plug. With Baja Designs, you can invert the mounting bracket and also flip the lens.

Dont mean to hijack here, but do you have picture that shows the full front end of your truck with the lights mounted like that? I dig that look as it kinda reminds me of the OG early 2000's Super Duties that had the lights in the center portion of the bumper like that.

It all depends on how much space you have. Our Squadron needs 3 inches and our S2 needs 2 inches for the light to sit perfectly flat and flush. We will be releasing kits for the 23-On Super duty and can confirm that a replacement fog kit will be released. That is always an option if you want something plug-and-play.

Just a heads up we are doing free upgrades for the SAE. Old internal to new internals all free of charge typically takes around 2-5 weeks (y)
