FloodFord and other out of state warranties for CA residents

Update: I purchased the warranty and used my parents address in Nevada, it worked perfectly and it also updated in my ford pass. I asked my parents to be on the lookout for any materials/mailings from ford, they have not seen anything from ford and it has been almost a month.

Did you use your name or your parents?

Now that it has been a couple of years, have you had any problems using your extended warranty in California? I'm in the same boat; all the local dealers (Southern California) I have talked to want well over $4000 for what Granger is charging $2600. They also said that you can't use it in California. Thanks.

I wonder if you can purchase it and put another state like Nevada, a friend or parents, the warranty should be good, not like it will expire if you “suddenly” move back to the golden state. It doesn’t ask for your license number so shouldn’t be a problem. This will be my plan as my parents live in Nevada, so I can use their address. fingers crossed, will be purchasing it next week, will update if it gets kicked back. Also if you live near another state, you could always get a mailbox at one of those mail box rental places in another state and use their address.
Let me see, lying on a contractual document and then expecting it to be honored when needed....... you first lunger.
