So I've had my XLT for about 6 hours. I've towed, gone 4WD, and put about 50 miles on it.

First impressions...
Godzilla is the real deal! Ample power and one smooth transmission.
Traction is really good. I don't know if it's the tires or the heavy truck, but traction is no problem.
The ride is pretty smooth for such a heavy hauler.
Questions:
The dealership said there is no more break in period or break in oil. I typically put an oil treatment with zinc in for the first 500 miles. What do y'all say?
The dealership said the tire pressure spec was 60 front/65 rear. I thought it was 60 front/80 rear. What do y'all say?
I let the truck idle on my driveway when I got home and I can hear the engine's bottom end from the undercarriage. It sounds like a sewing machine under there. Anybody else hear it?
Average mileage was 15MPG with the bed empty. Sound about right?

The manual speaks to the break-in period/method.

The tire pressure spec is on the sticker in your door jamb, but the dealer recommendation is closer to comfortable. I ride 50f/65r but I also tow multiple times per week. If I didn’t tow often I’d go for 50/50 or less.

Don’t know what you mean by the engine sound.

Your mileage meter is a random number generator. You can’t trust anything it tells you. Your actual MPG will improve over the break-in period and will be in that 10-20mpg range depending on your environment and driving habits. I’m averaging closer to 10mpg, but I drive fast or tow over a mountain multiple times per tank.

Thanks for the response.

When I listen at the tail pile I can hear the low rumble of the engine idle. When I listen at the grill I can hear a pretty quiet engine. When I listen at the drivers door I hear a sewing machine under the body. I slid under and listened to it in the dark. I could hear the crank and the rod bearings sloshing around, coming off the pan. Just wondered if anyone else has noticed it.

From page 373 of the 22MY owner's manual:

Regarding that sewing machine sound... I have a 2018 Indian Roadmaster with stock exhaust that produces a nice low rumble at the back, which you can also hear up front, but mixed with a similar "sewing machine" sound that is most definitely the chain-driven cam system. The 7.3L Godzilla (which is sort of like 4 of my Roadmaster's engines welded together... literally, except for the V-angle, of course) also has a chain driven cam system and that's likely what you're hearing. My previous primary motorcycle was a 2004 Honda ST1300, which also had a cam chain and made that same sewing machine sound. Unfortunately, it barely had enough exhaust note to cover up that sewing machine "wirrrr" but it was still a good bike. I mention the bikes because, unlike most cars/trucks, you can hear just about everything coming from powertrain since it's not hiding under a hood.

I noticed that same noise. I have about 2200 miles on my truck now and did my oil change last weekend.

Thanks, and this is the reason for my question. Nothing here talks about any zinc additives or an early oil change. Just wondering if any of you have done the early oil change anyway to get the metals out.
I didn’t find any evidence of metal in my oil. It looked really clean too but I think the oil should be changed because of the assembly lubes and sealant contaminants. My wife’s Audi they recommended the first change at 10000 miles witch sounded crazy to me.

I’m definitely not an expert, but I’m planning on doing my first oil change at 1000 miles. Figure worst case it’s unnecessary, best case it prevents some damage.

Not going to do any additives or anything.
