Does your stock tailpipe exhaust hanger have any daylight around it?

Having issues with the FRPP bola muffler system and they are swapping it out for an S type. I noticed that Borla uses smaller hanger stock versus factory. I’m curious if the stock tailpipe hanger fills up this entire doughnut so that the exhaust can’t move up in an uncontrolled manner.

Cliffs - does the stock 0.55” bar fill this up or does it have daylight at the top?

Check again with an inside micrometer and we'll be able to tell you if it's within spec

Thanks for the help. I thought this form would be better than Facebook groups. Spend a lot of money for a premium American product and they deliver it dented with the tips rattling and the connection to the stock exhaust doesn’t have the same clamp interface and won’t work with the locating nipple.

They don’t use the same bar stock for the hangers which allows more movement.

Most exhaust hangers have a little play, and aftermarket systems have to account for slight variances in factory hanger position. I wouldn't worry about it at all unless it's making noise over bumps or contacting something.

As for the other issues, the rattling tips are a well-known problem with that system and easily fixed by tack-welding a small piece between them. The dents I wouldn't accept, though.

Or maybe someone could see if the stock thickness hanger sags the bushing enough to show daylight, then this is moot.
