Do Ceramic Coatings Last In Adverse Conditions

Has anyone had GTECHNIQ applied by a professional?

My truck has heavy water spotting on the paint and windows that I can't get out. My quote was $1800 which includes the full paint correction, ceramic coating (10 yr on paint 20k miles on glass) interior, engine compartment and inside bed detail.

They also said they need the truck for 3 days.

Just paint correction and a non ceramic coating (exterior only) is $600 with no warranty and expectation of the coating lasting about 1 yr.

You can go to a place like Autogeek.net to get a good polish with a dual action polisher and do it yourself in about 5 hours. Most of what they charge is labor. To do everything in a day, polish and ceramic coating, it will take you about 10-12 hours. (Just paint correction and coating)

wash-ironx-clay-polish-rewash-coating/wax/sealant (Whichever you choose to use). Get something like menzerna top inspection to use before you seal it. it gets all the oils off from the polish to make sure everything sticks correctly.

I have GTechniq on both my trucks, the "Velocity" Blue Tremor and my Iconic Sliver beast ( the "sliver fox") The product holds up great, I know someone who does it professionally and I paid $1,000.00 per truck for the full deal paint correction,Iron decon, clay bar and ceramic coating on glass and wheels ( wheels off) they did not do anything with the inside of the engine compartment or interior.
After a simple home hand wash they look just detailed every time, the bugs, road grime and bird droppings just slide off. Even the tree sap comes off easy. I will put this shine up against any takers. Normal price in his shop is $3,000 for a large full size truck and he is booked out for months. Most business is sport cars. He spent over 30 hours each on these. Average time spent on a coating is 26 hours. So you get what you pay for. The prep time is very time consuming.

Looks great. I was talking to my ford sales / accessory crew today and they said any registered detailer can now update your VIN to show it was ceramic coated. Has anyone heard this?
