Tuesday the DEF warning light came on and said I had 64 miles to reduce speed of 50 would be engaged. Took it dealer and the DEF injector had to be replaced. I’ve been using truck stop DEF at the pump. Truck has 76,432 miles on it.
Is there any fluids I can put in with the DEF to help prevent the build up?

As I’ve said elsewhere, the only problems I’ve ever had with a DEF system was after using a pump. While I hate the boxes, I’ve never had a problem using SuperTech or Tractor Supply cat piss.
There are additives. But never needed to use them.

Guess I’ll be changing on your recommendation

Never had issues to now

These stories are why I only use BlueDEF Platinum, along with Hot Shots DEF additive as extra insurance. Using the extra HS additive is purely subjective, but I'm totally sold on Platinum DEF... place a tablespoon of regular DEF next to Platinum and watch what's left when they dry. There's a difference in residual crystallization. At some point I might try Hot Shots Premium DEF.
