It's for the windshield, don't get other ideas.

Does your ON OFF setting actually work?

On '24 couldn't turn it on, on '25 setting can be toggled but the function is always on. That extra wipe after running windshield washer. Would like to turn it off.

It worked on my 26. I also have rain sensing off. Have you tried turning rain sensing off first?

Yes, thought it was connected so tried with and without rain sensing, still the same.

It's just interesting out of 2 trucks just that thing doesn't work😅
Might have to dive into the forscan and check if something can be done.

Interesting. It’s almost like the feature is disabled.

I've used wrong terminology up there. On 25 works but can't be turned off. It doesn't matter if the setting is on or off it's always active.

So here's what I've seen with the Synce 4 system. If you make changes and then hit the upper left corner "Return" arrow, it doesn't save your changes. Make your changes then hit say the NAV button or AUDIO button. The changes are saved.....yea.....WIERD. Additionally after any sort of major SYNC update it seems to return back to some factory settings so you need to go back in to change the configuration.

I don’t think the courtesy wipe work that way.
In mine if it’s on it’s wipes when it’s started, smearing dust all over, turned off no wipe.

You have Florida problems. That’s a different thing altogether 🤪 Maybe a pre-wipe?
The CW is a single swipe a few seconds after the wash/ wipe cycle.

Yeah, it's a southern costal thing for sure. Mine will do it "randomly" when we have high humidity

Absolutely. I leave mine on. One of the nicest things about these newer vehicles if you ask me 😉😎
I like it to an extent. The reason I leave mine off is because they go from intermittent to fast when encountering road spray from a passing / upcoming vehicle. They just change speed way too often for my liking.

Do you use the single drop or the double? I use the single and it literally wipes at the same moment I go to reach for it. Almost like it is reading my mind. I will move it up to the double drop but only when it's raining so hard all of the "hazard light in the left lane" people reveal themselves

It would be nice if you could disable the rapid wipe on auto. I hate that too but I just got used to a quick back-and-forth twist to stop it. There's a point where rain comes so fast a wiper ain't gonna work no matter how fast it's going.

To be honest, not sure. I might play with it again. I believe part of the problem is we rarely get steady rain. It’s usually in bands of heavy/ misting rain. So they are constantly adjusting. I typically set it on one delay interval and leave it. With Rain X it’s quite sufficient.
And no, I did not apply Rain X near or over the windshield sensor area. 😉

Didn't know Rain X interferes with the sensor. I've been applying it across the whole windshield.

Unfortunately single wiper setting never works, needs occasional adjustment since it all depends on vehicle speed and rain intensity. Other vehicles have the same problem.

I thought I read somewhere not to apply it across the windshield sensors. I’m going back a lot of years. Maybe it’s a moot point these days.
As long as I can see a couple cars ahead, I just leave it at one setting: intermittent 1. If it gets worse I kick it to constant and just let it roll as long as the wipers don’t chatter. Maybe it’s being on a motorcycle for years without wipers that I don’t ever adjust it.

I'm all on board with a courtesy flush, but a courtesy wipe? Damn! I thought shoe shiners were few and far between in a bathroom these days, but now a wiper!

Regarding the truck, on my 24 Tremor, it would also wipe every time it was started after a few hours. I just turned that feature off.

Should you tip the wiper???
