What is the best diy ceramic wax for black?

So personally I am a fan of the turtle wax graphene. I use the to the max wax as a base and then top with the flex wax. My truck is carbonized grey but it doesn’t streak on the blackout emblems and grille. It’s super easy to use.

I like the Chemical Guys gel for a ceramic wax, gets better after 12 hours. I have it on my Iconic Silver F350. I plan to get a real ceramic coat on it next month.

I would recommend you "iron decon" the entire surface then clay bar . then apply the "ceramic" wax.

It will clean up great and you will not have scratches in the surface. lots of "iron" particles from these trucks when they are shipped out.

Like I said its all about the prep.

a good cleaning with a foam cannon then a proper "iron decon" then clay bar

most waxes will seal and protect the paint very well. if you don't properly prep the surface you will have scratches in the paint.
In some cases you need a fine grit polish before the wax. I find the Ford paint pretty good and no need for a polish on a brand new truck. FCA is another story. lots of flaws.

I’m using Griot’s Garage Ceramic, along with their ceramic soap and ceramic detailer “speed shine”. Working out great. I especially like the ceramic speed shine.

I gravitate towards Griot’s not only because they always make quality product and the brand is a fairly tried and true shortcut to finding a quality product in any category, but also because they put an emphasis on health and safety of their products.

First time I washed my truck I went through 4 drying towels. With great hesitation I bought the big $45 drying towel from griots. Just got done washing my truck this morning and was blown away by the towel, only used the one towel on the entire truck. Also used the griots speed shine with ceramic as a drying aid and was pleased.

I love their drying towel as well.

Even though it can hold a ton of water, I still start the job with a leaf blower and then a quick wipe with the towel.

Same lol, pretty sure my neighbors think I'm crazy.

I use The Last Coat 2.0 on my Jeep and wife's Audi...getting ready to do the Tremor..there are other solutions with more ceramic in them but it works pretty well and stupid easy and fast to apply...works on everything, glass, trim, ect.

I’ve used the chemical guys ceramic wax on multiple trucks, always looks great and seems to last a good while.
