Best fifth hitch for tremor

I work for a great RV dealership in MInnesota (Hilltop Camper & RV - Family Owned & Operated since 1951) - We recommend the B&W Companion Slider for these rigs. Be it the Puck System or the Rail System.

I've seen the Anderson Hitch setup in person. I've seen the failure of these. Granted only one time but that is enough to detour me.
I'm a person that believes that cheaper is not always better. The jaws of the B&W System are 2nd to none.

I will NOT hesitate to get the B&W Companion Slider for my rig! No Questions.

No clearance issues with the cab or with the bed rail even with my roll up tonneau rails. I backed in this 43 foot beast into a pretty tight spot this past weekend.

I second this. I have the gooseneck fifth wheel slider for sale if anyone is interested. I'm in MD.

I have the Curt slider 20K with 24K head. Its a heavy duty beast and I trust it.

I had a Reese in my last truck it was much lighter and not has well made. Both were sliders.

I would not trust the Anderson set up with my 6 figure 5er.

What is a gooseneck 5th wheel slider?
Goosenecks and 5th wheel attachments are 2 different things
B&W makes a 5th wheel slider that attaches to their gooseneck hitch. I have it in my current tremor. I ordered my new truck with the 5th wheel prep package so I ordered the 5th wheel puck slider.
B and W gooseneck 5th wheel

Ahhh gotcha.
I had a pullrite auto slider and hated it. If you were not straight on, you were not hooking up or unhooking.

So what would be the disadvantage of the goosebox? My dad is buying a chevy 3500 and I have a tremor and it just seems like changing to the goosebox would be cheaper and easier than both of us having to buy seperate fifth wheel hitches and then we don't have 200 pounds hitches to take in and out of the bed.

The one thing that prevented me from the goosebox was that they Hang down pretty low. When my 5er is parked In the driveway, I back my truck up under the front of the 5th wheel. I wouldn’t be able to do that with the goosebox.

Do you see any downsides to the goose box?

Honestly, the only downside to the goosebox is that you still have to crawl in part way to hook up the safety chains. Still like it much better than my 5th wheel slider.

I have a Reese hitch and pulled my rv all summer with my brother in laws tremor since they have a motorhome. Hitch worked great but wondered if a slider hitch would be way better because of box length. I never really had any trouble getting into a spot but was definitely extra aware of how close I was to cab corners. Which was not a concern with my dually.

I have a 2021 F350 TREMOR with the 5th wheel prep package I and pull a 43' 13000# Sabre 5th wheel with it. It's my first 5th wheel so I did a lot of research before buying a hitch. I looked at the Andersen hitch, Pullright Curt, Reese, etc., and I ended up going with a 20k B&W OEM Companion and have been nothing but extremely happy with it. In my case with my trailer/kingpin combo and the adjustability front to back of the B&W hitch I didn't need a slider and I can remove it from the bed of my truck by myself easily and that's why I ultimately went with the B&W. This setup works great for me with absolutely no issues. Everyone's circumstances are different but I hope this helped.

I've run two different hitches so far on my 21 F350 SB, towing a 33' XLR Toy Hauler.
1. Demco Autoslide. It's great in that it 'auto-slides' for you as you turn, so you never have to worry about clearance. It's a heavy beast though, and it's nearly impossible to remove it from the bed with only one person (I either use a hoist or my tractor w/ pallet forks). It does take up a fair amount of room in the bed, but I can still load 2 dirtibkes with it installed. You need to be pretty much straight on to hitch/unhitch though - no unhitching at a 45 degree angle, or on very uneven ground.
2. Pullrite 2600. It's like an upside-down gooseneck ball (it's basically a steel version of the Andersen). Very light, easy to remove from the bed. Takes up less space in the bed than the slider. Can be hitched/unhitched at an angle and on uneven ground. The big issue is it's not a slider, and on short bed trucks, clearance is an issue. I checked and double checked, and I could do a full lock turn without the cap contacting the cab, but I didn't account for uneven ground. One u-turn in a uneven parking lot and a rear window replacement later, and I switched back to the Demco.

Rig looks almost same as mine. Any issues with excessive squat with setup? I squat 4 inches with over 3000 lb pin weight. Thanks!

Yes seems to squat, but I installed the Yellow sumo bags and the Hellwig rear sway bar. So its all good. You can see by the photo how level it is. 3052 pin weight

Looks good! Bought the Supersprings helper springs but haven’t put on yet. So far no regrets on the Tremor or GD Solitude. Have a great day.

Just curious, which model Solitude did they choose? We are looking at going from our GD Reflection to a Solitude.
Just ordered a Reflection 303RLS. Goes offline at the factory on Friday. Should be here by the following weekend.
