I have a 2022 F-350 Lariat Crewcab 6.7lt, with the deal alternators & thought I would replace the belt, Tensioner & idler Pulleys while the weather is still nice. I inserted the serpentine belt tool into the square notch in the old Tensioner to release the tension & remove the old belt. But, instead of releasing the tension, the aluminum stripped out completely. And yes, for the record I was attempting to turn it the correct way. So, my question is how on earth can I release the tension in order to move forward? Any ideas, suggestions or help that anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
