Bed Tie-Down Hardware ?

Are the any sort of OEM adapters available from Ford or after-market that work directly with these brackets as Tie-Down points?
These are in my 2027. Thanks.

Is this the tie-down as is?


I'm finding online that it seems I'm supposed to replace this plate to an older OEM Boxlink plate in order to buy an OEM tie-down adapter. If so, why does Ford give me this plate which is a bit of a challenge to feed a heavy rope through?
