Bed camera not working

Truck is at the shop getting her camera replaced as well. Seems to be a common problem. it will go in and out so if yours is flaky but working when you drive into the dealership just keep pressing for a replacement.

My back up camera acted up today. It stayed on as I drove down the highway. Pretty cool but I could not get out of the screen. It went normal the next time I started it.

Just curious, those of you with bed camera issues, are you early 2020 builds?

Both rear cameras out now. Second time for the bed camera. Taking it back in Monday.
Got my Tremor March 3rd.

My build date was mid February, picked up first week of March. My camera started acting up last week. Sometimes it works, sometimes its really dark , and increasingly its not working. 1700 miles on the truck.

Thank you for your responses.

Took the Tremor back to the dealer for the camera issue. They diagnosed it as both cameras. (no wiring or anything else)
told me the cameras were on "back order" and they had no eta for replacements.

Service writer said 2020 Ford used new cameras and the manufacturer was shut down due to covid-19. Has anyone else got this story?

Thanks

They are...been waiting for about 3 weeks for one.

My bed camera work 50% of the time I go for it. Seems to be cold or damp weather glitches. Works fine when warm out.

Cameras finally came in. Took the Tremor in to the Dealer. Dealer replaced the cameras and now I don't have the enhanced active park assist on screen? WTF!

Did not noticed until I got home now I guess I'm taking it back in. what a pain in the a$$

Think you can go into the menus and turn it back on.

I was very happy with my camera and also happy that I didn't have the issues you guys did as all I have is the tailgate camera...Lo and behold the damn thing has been acting up lately...I hate eating my words. I wonder if they have replacements.

if they don't they will just build you are brand new truck like the other guy over a damn gasket

Mine started going out about 2000 miles. Very randomly at first. Then pretty regular. 4000 miles now. Dealer replace camera, took couple days to get it in. Now i dont have enhanced park assist either. Back to the dealer.

Backup camera has been going out as well over the past several weeks. Dealer ordered a new one. I've noticed if tailgate is sun facing/hot ... then it is worse than normal intermittence.

This is what happens when American manufacturers copy ideas from German luxury sedans. These 360 camera systems have been in Mercedes and BMWs for several years and you can bet your ass they're not glitchy. American manufacturer copies the idea and just half asses the shit out of it.

Features like these are so cool, but I'd rather just not have them at all than have them with issues. Hopefully you guys all get sorted out and Ford fixes the root cause before they start delivering 2021s

edit: fun fact, it was actually infinity in 2008 that was the first to introduce a 360 degree camera system.

More complex and more gadgets means more to break and more cost, usually. Hence why I went with the "cheapo" XLT. Although my bed camera has been glitching recently, occasionally.

Just had my backup camera replaced. My advice is to check that the tracking lines and zoom feature work after the repair, I had to take my truck back again to get the computer synced with the new camera that is supposed to come pre-programmed from the factory. I got my truck in mid February.

I mention this because my truck has been back to the service department 6 different days: window switch (2 days), a/c compressor (2 days & 1 1/2 months without a/c in the hottest time of the year), camera (2 days + extra trip).

I'm very happy with the truck, but so much for the idea that if I get a new truck I won't have to worry about any problems for many years.

Hey guys, I’m having an issue with my CMHSL cam (2021 F350 Tremor). The camera works fine at/below ~7 mph, but won’t work above this speed. I thought this was the norm until I heard of others w/2021 models, and their cams work at highway speeds/any speed. At first I thought I might to purchase some mod/wiring harness in order to make the cam work at higher speeds, but guys are telling me theirs’ works whatever speed they’re going, and they include screenshots of their CMHSL cam @ 70mph.
I would really like to view the bed of my truck at any speed.
Any input/advice greatly appreciated.
