As much as I do like the OEM Tremor fixed running boards, with the lift it was becoming a bit of a pain to get the small kids in and out of the truck. I decided to look into some power running boards that offer more of a drop down than the Tremor steps. I've owned AMP steps in the past on my 2004 F250, they were good steps, no major complaints, but I decided to try the new contender on the market. Wolfbox recently designed a power running board and if anything the price point compared to the AMP steps made me do a double take. At almost half of AMP's retail I decided to give the wolfbox a try, they advertise 660 lb weight capacity, 13-15" drop on the steps, Weatherproof to IP67 rated power motors that can withstand both Heat and down to -40 degrees ICE/Cold conditions without binding up or failing, they run on CAN BUS so you don't need to hook up any bulky OBD connectors or anything overly complicated, and they are super easy to install.
Removal of the OEM Running boards
6 13mm Bolts on each board and it comes right off
New Drop down brackets will go right in place of the old boards, power motor to the front, passive hinge bracket to rear
Install plates first then motor/hinge bracket to plates
Once you get the motors on on the one side, repeat the process on the other side.
It got kind of dark when I finished the install so photos didn't really come out, but they include a harness that goes from battery to their module which lives under the hood. then runs out to the motor on each side of the truck. I routed this down the firewall, along the frame and hooked up to the power step motor on both sides, Installed the supplied LED lights that illuminate the steps on both sides with the supplied double stick tape to the bottom of the body and plug the harness in.
Once your step motors are powered and your harness is installed, there is a pass through that goes in the cab and taps 2 wires off your OBD connector for CAN BUS so it knows which door is open and which running board to deploy or close. Tap the two CAN BUS wires. Once this is done restore the fuse and hook up the positive and negative to the battery on the step harness. When you open the drivers door the power step motor should extend. There are T rail bolts that slot into the steps, 4 per mounting point 8 total for each step. Slot those into the board and align them with the step motor and and passive step hinge and bolt them down. Once they're tight you're steps are ready to go!

Over all I'm super impressed with the quality of these steps, they are just as good as my old AMP steps and almost half the price. If you're interested in these steps I can put together a group buy. The price will make these VERY Tempting for anyone considering adding power steps! These steps are available for not just Tremor but fit the whole Superduty line up as well at F150.
MSRP - $1299 On Sale for $999-1049 If you guys want a Group Buy I can further discount them if we can generate enough interest!
