Adding lane assist

Ah I see now. You are looking for the lane keep system. Even just the lane keep would require adding the electric assist motor and mount to the steering system along with the software changes and steering wheel button to activate it. You’d have to confirm by looking at your front driver fender to see if you have the electric assist mount and motor but I don’t believe it’s there if you don’t have the lane keep. Already found a few on car-part for short money.
Trying to identify the harness needed, I believe it's PC3Z3C221A... if anyone can confirm that ?

So...after spending a few hours (at work on Christmas) reading through dealer connection it seems as if the truck already has everything except the electric motor and switch to make this work. (If I'm understanding this correctly)

So theoretically if I get the motor, correct harness and the switch.... I can use forscan to turn it all on...

I just need to make sure my truck has the plug in the main harness that the pscm harness plugs into

Would any that has the electric steering motor mind following the harness up and taking a picture of where it ties to the main harness ?

New poster here but over at FTE I wrote up a post on how to add IACC to my '24 F250. If you put any miles on your truck at all it is fantastic.
Lane centering would be awesome, and I really want to add that too.

Some other things you might need (Tremor might be different obviously). At least on my truck I'll need a new upper shaft, and I think gearbox/pittman as well. Where were you able to find the P/N for the wiring harness??? I've spent hours online looking and couldn't find a thing, and where have you seen it for sale?

It's just a theory but I would assume that lane centering and ProTrailer are intertwined, which is both good news and bad news. The addition of steering control seems like a lot of complexity and reconfiguration of the truck, and would be cheaper to find a truck that has it already from the factory. But good luck :)

As for lane centering, I agree it's a nuisance when you are actively driving. It feels really weird to have the truck fight you while you are driving. However, it's really handy when you want to take a second to fiddle with your stereo or reach for something that briefly takes your eyes off the road. That is typically when you start drifting out of your lane and I find it pretty useful for short periods and then turn it off when I am back to full attention. I would never trust it to drive the truck semi-auto.

I didn't realize the box was different also, that adds a good chunk of change, I'll have to dig into that more

As.for the harness, the part number I found came from digging on fordparts.com and tasca Ford....that being said I'm not positive it's the correct one.

I'll likely wait for a totalled truck to come through and "borrow" what I need

Absolutely not cheaper to find a new truck 😂
And once all the hard parts are in a few lines off code is not a big deal. The only tricky part is making sure the right parts are had

I'm not sure it would be. The cost difference between a truck with and a truck without is probably more than the parts. The parts all in (ACC+Lane Centering+HUD) are ~$3000. It will be some sweat and some programming (and time), but I doubt taking my truck from XLT to the equivalent of Lariat Ultimate is going to cost more than the cost of swapping the trucks out especially when you take into account sales tax, titling fees, shipping if reqd, and the diff between the two.

Plus -- Not too many Lariat / Limited trucks out there with a bench seat! (family of 6)

Underneath my passenger side battery was a capped off plug that the harness to the pscm would connect too. The good news is that it is already fused appropriately, so if I can find the harness (or build my own) I should have power to the PSCM.

I turned off that lane assist on day one 1.5 years ago. Turned it on again on my way to Florida this week and after an hour driving with it on the highway i turned it off again, for good. It’s useless, works maybe half the time and the assist is weak. No point to it.

But to OP. It’s a button on the left hand side on your steering wheel where the cruise controls buttons are, nothing extra to turn on or enable in forscan, just press it and you got your so called assist.
Same. I don’t like how far left it tracks in the lane. Besides that, it requires your hands stay on the wheel soooo….am I driving, or is it driving, or has that even been decided? Yup. Off.
