360 view after update

After last update, my overhead view now has a black box around the truck, where before it was just the truck. So, for example, now if i look to see if I'm inside the lines of a narrow parking space, the black box covers the lines. Not a huge deal but it annoys the hell out of me. Why do an update that makes it worse? Anyone else have this issue?

Mine ('22) changed after an update as well last year, I think.

I presume it is for the reason Avslash suggests. Some people riding with me who'd never been in a 360 cam before tended to (somehow) actually think it was an live overhead view with no blind spots... so I can see some knuckleheads taking the picture too literally and assuming they had more exact clearance around the corners than the camera views actually provide. I'm sure someone hit something and tried to sue Ford, so now they've blacked out the camera blind spots.

Of course, the most astute observers figured it out themselves after noting the absence of the pano roof on the image, but sadly the world is not reliably full of astute observers.

When my mom bought her GMC Denali something or other years ago it was her first car with cameras. I had her and my sister believing they were being watched by government satellites for years.

Then one day she asked me to taker her to LA and we went into a parking garage. When she figured it out she was not amused.

Since day one on my 2024 - looking up in Ford Owners Manual - "This is the black box region that surrounds the 360 vehicle avatar. This depicts the area around the vehicle that the cameras are unable to see."
What I've discovered the black area is basically the "clearance" of the Tremor backing or turning into parking space

Mine 2025 has been like that since day 1.
So was my 2023 Raptor, my 2022 F250, my 2019 Raptor and my 2018 Raptor.
