250 High Capacity Tow Package

There are other threads on this matter, but if you get a 6.7 Diesel F250 with the High Capacity Towing Package (what I have), the jury is out whether this is the exact same truck as a 6.7 Diesel F350. The rear axle is definitely the same. The rear springs have the same number of leafs and may be the same, or may not. The rear springs for the F250 w/ High Cap Towing vs. F350 have different codes on the stickers. My truck's payload is 2862lbs. An F350's would have a number 700-900 more printed on the sticker, so say 3562. Whether or not mine has an actual payload of 3562 is up for debate. If they're the exact same springs, the number printed is a lie.

If you don't care about that stuff, the F250 with the High Cap Towing is great and may be the same thing as an F350. If the number on the sticker is important, find or order an F350. On Ford's website, you can search inventory and increase the search radius by typing a bigger number in the URL.
I know we have talked about this. But im confused at the moment, and couldn't find a clear answer searching around on here. A truck my buddy looking at has "HIGH CAPACITY TRAILER TOW PKG" for $1130. When im on the ford website the only thing I see like that is "F-250 Trailer Tow High Capacity w/Ultimate Trailer Tow Camera System and Pro Trailer Backup Assist Package" for $2730.

So what does this package mean/do: HIGH CAPACITY TRAILER TOW PKG

Hi there, im trying to figure out the code for the 350 tremor 6.7 front coils. The little tag on the spring. also does anybody have the LC3C-5310-ASA (LAS) springs on their tremor? confused as to what truck would get it?

This topic has been beat to death.

The only difference between an F250 Tremor and a F350 tremor is the sticker on the door.
I understand. Sorry to keep picking at it. I’ve read every post on this forum trying to find a specific answer about:

My 2022 F-250 6.7 CCLB XL

It has HCTP and 5900 spring in the front. The BBLB shows for my setup that the minimum GAWR for 176” wheel base to be 5600 springs. I’d just really like to know where those 5600 LAS springs are being used because Tremors can’t get heavy service springs or a long bed?

I wanna drop down a spring rate but my only options within BBLB specs are:

5600 Spring LC3Z-5310 (Non-Tremor)
-19.88” length
-13.75lbs

5600 Spring LC3Z-5310-F (Tremor)
-20.25” length
-15.45lbs

Just would love to find out the application of the 5600 Tremor spring. Sorry again for bringing this thread back.

Don't forget the badges too.
I think you are wrong on this guys. There are different front springs depending on diesel or gas. Agreed that the same applies to both 350 and 250 but there are two different springs depending on the engine choice. I'm not knowledgeable about the details but part of a discussion somewhere included putting the diesel springs on a gas Tremor to raise the front end a couple inches. That's all I remember.

That's a difference between gas and diesel not f250 vs f350. I mean the gas and diesel have different engines so yeah they aren't the same. I was more saying/thinking an f250 and f350 with the same options are identical.

I'm a little confused what difference it makes for your application which Tremor comes with which spring. Lets say the 5600 spring comes on the F-350 Tremor with diesel, then what?

Without any additional packages the non Tremor CCSB F-350 diesel comes with 5600 springs, the F-250 CCSB diesel 5200. So it could be the same on the Tremor. Gas versions having an even lower spring rate.

But he's asking about the two springs available on tremors and he's being told there's no difference. There are definitely two different springs being put on the tremors.

I would think a competent service or parts department could get this information for him.

BBLB is Body Builder Layout Book. It details the various options that correlate to a truck’s many configurations. Here’s a link:

According to that document, a 6.7 F-250 and F-350 CCSB have minimum GAWR’s of 5200. In a non-Tremor truck, the high-capacity towing package and heavy-service front spring are unavailable. So why is there a Tremor spring rate for 5600?

Based on the chart on BBLB, a non-Tremor F-350 and F-250 would come with 5200 spring. Based off members reports in various forums, their 6.7 F-350 Tremors and F-250 Tremors are also coming with 5200 springs.

Could de-rating a Tremor mean literally using 5200 springs instead of 5600? That doesn’t make sense to me..I’d figure de rating has everything to do with what the door panel sticker would say.

If a 6.7 f-350 tremor came with 5600 springs, I would swap my springs for them. I wouldn’t swap to 5200 tremor springs because the minimum for a CCLB is 5600. A 5600 non-tremor spring is shorter than the tremor equivalent, so I don’t want to swap to it, I want to keep the tremor height.

Hope I’m explaining myself adequately.

Thanks guys!

To be clear, I’m referring to the apparent different springs for the “6.7” Tremors. Users on different forums have reported a 5200 spring for 6.7 F-250 and F-350’s Tremors.

My thoughts were the same, going to a parts department. I have yet to see a Tremor 5600 spring on either F-250 or F-350 6.7. Just want to know what Tremor would require the 5600 spring.
For my dilemma, any CCLB 6.7 f-250 or f-350 is minimum a 5600 spring. Therefore I’m searching for an appropriate tremor spring for my CCLB.

You may have to get Ford engineering involved to answer your question. The specs for the Tremor springs involve more than capacity. In the front ride height is also determined by the springs and that is different than the standard Super Duty non-Tremor. Regardless the answer by others stands that the 6.7 Tremors all have the same springs on the front regardless of other factors.

Figured out the BBLB shortly after posting and made the edit.

So you are mostly just curious about this, not that it is stopping you from doing what you want to do. Are we sure that there is actually a 5600 spring used on the Tremors? Are there Tremor owners here and elsewhere with 5600 front gawr? I have only seen 5200 on sticker, that includes F-350 6.7l Tremors.

Well I’m curious because I’d like to try a tremor spring in my truck. But I won’t swap a 5200 tremor spring to my truck because it is a 6.7 CCLB and the minimum spring required is 5600.

If you wanna have a look at this forum, a user called Brandon12686 listed all the Tremor springs. The problem is I have no idea where he came up with the list and how he designated the coils as tremor and non tremor.

And yes I too have only seen 5200 spring stickers for 6.7 tremors. Thanks for working with me on this !

Lets clear up the confusion

All 6.7 Tremors are the same truck except for the ratings on the stickers and the fender badge.

All 7.3 Tremors are the same except for the ratings on the stickers and the fender badge.

The difference between the 7.3 Tremor and the 6.7 Tremor are: The engine, the transmission (yes the transmission was built with different parts), and the FRONT Springs!!!!

None of this applies to non tremor superduties!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully you're not getting too annoyed by my posts ! I don't intend to rattle anybody .

Just trying to get to the bottom of the application of the 5600 Spring LC3Z-5310-F , which is supposedly a Tremor Spring .

So far, it is understood that :

7.3L Tremor spring - LC3C-5310-AVA (LAV)
-20.25'' length
-12.95lbs

6.7L Diesel Tremor spring is - LC3C-5310-ATA (LAT)
-20.75'' length
-14.95lbs

The part in question is supposedly a Tremor spring , and a few users and myself are questioning it's application :

LC3C-5310-ASA (LAS)
-20.25'' length
-15.45lbs

My truck is a 2022 6.7L F-250 CCLB with front GAWR of 5990 lbs (Snow-plow Prep) . I would like to try a Tremor spring on it , however , the minimum required front GAWR for the 6.7 CCLB is 5600lbs , as per the "2022 Body Builder Layout Book" . I want the ride height of a Tremor spring , in place of my snowplow springs .

Just trying to find someone who has a Tremor with the LAS spring , or anyone with a truck with the LAS spring from factory .

Sorry to bring this topic back to life . Appreciate any insight , thanks !

Hey could you please tell me where you learned the 350 comes standard with 5600 springs?

**EDIT** finally found somebody with350 5600 tremor springs.

his user name is grouch. that settles it folks good game

I think I misspoke about the SB 350 getting 5600 standard.

Did you figure out what made that Tremor get the 5600 springs? Is it a one off?

One of the main reasons was the guy had bench seats upfront . They could weigh more vs the console ? He also had the moon roof, which could add extra weight . He had the lariat ultimate package .

If your ordering one vs trying to find one on a lot, the price between a 250 and 350 is really negligible. You might pay more in registration on the 350 due to weight fees. We went 350 for the added (legal) capacity.
