2024 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build Thread

The dealer lottery (allocation) is the biggest factor in getting scheduled.
I think this is right. I placed my order only 10 days ago with a dealer and already have a scheduled build date of 2/26. I think the most important thing was my order had priority code 03 from a high volume dealer, who I’m assuming has a significant allocation amount. I also got X plan pricing plus another 2k off, so almost A/z plan orice, so the guy who said he would’ve got it sooner if he was willing to pay MSRP I disagree with. It’s all about the dealer

Well that and Ford's inability to accurately predict supply chain needs. Maybe they should remove half of the engine options. I would think it would be far easier to predict gas versus diesel demand rather than 2 options in each category. Ford would not need to beg dealers for 6.8 orders. It's like a rubics cube of options to manage.

That was probably me. My comment was meant to say that if I was willing to pay MSRP, I would have been able to choose from a much greater pool of dealers who had spare allocations. Few are willing to offer discounts, especially deep ones .... not that if I paid MSRP, that my current dealer would suddenly have an allocation.

A former Toyota plant manager told me there are 2 absolutes about forecasts

1) forecasts are wrong

2) forecasts change

Mine got pushed out by 8 days.

Original order (Granger Ford) as MY23 11-3-22 with Priority 19
Reordered as MY24 7-18-23 with Priority 03
1-5-24 build scheduled for week of 1-22-24
1-18-24 status changed to in production
1-19-24 window sticker published
1-27-24 Noticed it was shown "In Stock" on Granger's inventory. Could have been there sooner.
1-29-24 added a date of 1-29-24 to "In Production"
1-30-24 BCE modules populated
1-31-24 Built email form Ford
1-31-24 Shipped email form ford Estimated Delivery 02/08/2024 - 02/21/2024
2-1-24 changed Estimated Delivery to 02/07/2024 - 02/20/2024
2-8-24 changed Estimated Delivery to 02/15/2024 - 02/28/2024

Nice! Question, how did you order a KR without the two tone paint? I would have gone KR but every time I tried to build it a two tone paint would appear
Canada might be different

But if you pick your color for the King Ranch you then go and select the chrome package which will convert to the monochromatic theme. They technically got rid of monochromatic selection and replaced it by just selecting the chrome package since you can’t get the chrome package with the two tone anymore.

Dealer allocations would be the most important thing to me…the priority code is within the specific dealer…more allocations means more trucks being built for that dealer and their priority code decides which one go first…

I wouldn’t cancel an order from a dealer…just find a better one with more allocations and place the new order…deposits are mostly refundable…then it’s a race to which comes in for you…many have done that on here…

Salesman finally called and said couldn’t tell me railcar # and train is in Winslow, AZ - about 132 miles away…he says by end of next week ready for delivery to me…dealer still has spray in bed liner and winch to install…still waiting…

I sell HVAC equipment and occasionally the manufacturer will ship something via rail to California. It's just lost for weeks when this happens. I understand they need to do this with trucks but having to deal with rail cars on occasion and tracking is an absolute nightmare. Often times it's 10 miles from the jobsite just sitting in a yard too 🫠

Hey guys looking into ordering a new tremor and was wondering if anybody has ordered one from the Houston tx area and what turnaround y’all are being told. I’ve been told 4-6 months possibly 8 depending how custom the order is. Any knowledge is appreciated really looking into placing my order this week.

I picked up my tremor from Mac Haik on Wednesday. It really depends on dealer allocations. I not sure how many they have.

I went to AutoNation Ford off of 45 and beltway 8 and they told me anywhere from 4-6 months and I went to another dealership in Crosby tx outside of Houston and they said they really don’t know what timeframe I’m looking at. I’m fine with waiting 4-6 months not in a big rush
