2024 HUD

Cross posting from the other thread, turn by turn in the hud is working fine on my '24. Sync rev 966, so maybe if you don't have it check for an update.

Be aware that at least in my 2024 Platinum F350 I had version 966 installed and had no HUD Navigation --- until I enabled it with Forscan. OEM Nav and Apple Maps/Carplay both show on HUD/IC. Google Maps/IOS still doesnt show up anywhere except main display.

@Kdub I tried to enable mine but the string I have already matches the string on the Forscan sheet that says it should be enabled. Says it should be a 5 and to change to 6 for a diesel. Mine is already a 6.

If possible, please, can you give me what you had prior to it being enabled and what you changed it to? Mine is a 24 F250 CCSB 6.7HO Tremor. I am hoping I can find the difference and verify.

I have the same sync software/revision on my 24. No nav in the HUD.

Mine was 1/15/2024. I thought about changing it to 5 and seeing what that does... although I don't have high hopes with that.

Update: Just heard back from my dealer. Ford is saying early truck builds of the super duty don't have the turn by turn on the HUD. They fixed things for the later builds and won't go back and retroactively fix the older builds. This is coming from Ford Field Engineer that has been talking to my dealer.

Yep, my best guess is that whatever department owns this is too cheap to issue the fix. It would require money out of their department because it's a software fix requiring the dealer to fix it. Not an OTA update.

Did they advertise the Nav feature on HUD for MY24 anywhere? Is it in the manual, or any marketing materials. If they did, it sounds like a class action lawsuit waiting to happen

Yes it was in marketing material (trying to find it) and builds that started hitting dealer lots mid January all have this working.

Interesting, your the first person I've seen that hasn't got the turn by turn enabled. Only other thing I did hear is you have to make sure all the connected navigation stuff is turned on but if ford nav is working then it should pop up.

Not to jack a thread as it is relatedish...I test drove a truck that had a HUD that showed the street name and block number you were at. How can I view this on mine?

Ok, looks like the only map app I use, Google, doesn’t show turn by turn on HUD. Apple Maps does work with HUD. Tried the Ford Nav for the first time and it works too. Too bad Google Maps doesn’t work, I hate Apple Maps

I posted on the other thread but my f350 platinum that was built the first full week of January does have HUD directions working. I primarily use CarPlay (which works) and tried the Ford Nav which works as well. I’m not sure I buy Fords excuse on this…or there is something more they’re staying away from.
