2024 Emergency brake light on

Hopefully it’s just a cold weather. Started my truck this morning and got the notification that the emergency braking system is engaged. Funny thing is I’ve never used it. Went to go release it. It says it’s off but the emergency brake light is still on. Truck overall drives fine. But I can feel up popping in the brake pedal. More when I reverse than going forward. Only 1000 miles on truck 7.3l platinum. Any ideas? I just took it to the dealer.

Just heard back from Ford. It was a brake booster failure. Basically, my ABS are gone for now. Only 3 weeks old. Of course the part is not in stock.

Wow that is sad, I’m sorry this happened to you. At least it is the 7.3 and will be easier
to access the booster. But how frustrating

You were right. It only took him less than 45 minutes to swap it out. He said if it was a 6.7. It would’ve been a whole different story.
