I looked everywhere to find a bed cover that would accommodate a transfer tank but could find none. There are some shops that make them custom for trucks with in-bed toolboxes but nothing for a transfer tank that sticks up above the bed rails by 1".
So I decided to build it myself. My design includes a 60 gallon transfer tank, air compressor, 1/2 gal air tank, hi-lift jack, and antennas (HF, VHF/UHF and CB). This part is pretty beefy because in the near future it will be the base for the rest of the bed cover, and maybe a back rack.
The final 2 sections of the bed cover will be hinged and swing up like a BakFlip cover. They will be constructed of a 1" square steel tube frame and covered in aluminum tread plate, all powder coated matte black.
