We took a trip to socal this week to get the ol' girl ready for her trip to Europe and Morocco, most importantly swinging by Carli Suspension.

This truck (like many) started as a stock F350 Tremor. It was my daily driver for not quite a year before it went under the knife. Carli's 2.5" King based Pintop kit transformed that stock truck and made it so much more enjoyable to drive. Fast forward almost two years, our truck is far from stock. With around 3500 lbs of constant payload as a result of the modifications we've made to it, the performance was lacking. Yes, the XXHD Carli/Deaver springs helped to bring the rear end back up and level with the front, the King internals weren't designed to carry constant load like this.

In just one day, Carli got the shocks out and revalved them to match the XXHD springs, designed for 3500. Lucky for us, we just so happen to be exactly at that 3500lb mark. Carli's VP Dan Tourino (aka @BLACKCHERRY) gave us a warm welcome and got us taken care of. They took it for a spirited drive around a local test course and made some further adjustments to get this truck DIALED. No joke, I didn't even roll out of my parking spot there before encountering a drainage ditch and I could feel the difference already... I even messaged Dan before I left their parking lot.

After leaving Carli, we made it 400 miles to Mammoth Lakes CA. The entire time I kept saying things like "its a different truck".. "It's so planted" .. "Did you feel how little body roll there is now?"

I write this all this for a few reasons;
1. By investing in a system like Carli's Pintop, you know that you have the ability to change the internals in the future should your build change.
2. If you are building a heavy overland camper style build from inception, we can save you the hassle and time and order your shocks with this valving from the beginning. We can help you calculate the weight of your modifications and ensure what you're ordering is on spec with your weight.
3. The folks are Carli are the real deal. They make everything (even their boxes) right here in the US of A & they truly care about the end user. It certainly "pays to play" with these big trucks and I yet to sell a kit and have someone reach back out saying they are unhappy.

If you are considering a investing in a suspension upgrade from Carli for your Super Duty, please get in contact with us and we will get you sorted.

Are you running Carli on your Super Duty? Comment below what you think of it.

Thanks again Dan @BLACKCHERRY!

Nice build. Had $10k plus into my 2018 with Carli. Didn't think the ride was worth the cost. Hopefully I don't go down the "I can make this ride better road." Currently in production so will see.

There are a lot of variables that go into ride. Without knowing your spec it’s hard for me to theorize but their different packages (commuter, backcountry, pintop, eventure) each have their strengths. A lot of people things it’s all about cost but for a lot of customers, an offroad focused pintop kit is probably not as suitable as a 2.0” shock option found in the commuter or backcountry. It really comes down to the shop you’re purchasing from listening to what your needs are and intended use is, not just giving you a run of the mill suggestion.

I can say with utmost confidence that the torsion sway bar from Carli transforms these trucks, as does the progressive front coil springs and rear progressive leaf. To be frank, there is not another solution on the market that is this cohesive or tested. For a truck application like ours, I really don’t see another viable option.

In my various vehicles, I’ve run solutions from King, Icon, ARB/Old Man Emu, Fox, Bilstein, and of course Carli on the big trucks. It really matters how they are valved, the shock diameter, and what products are paired with them.

If you have interested in giving it another go, I’d be happy to sit down and listen to how you plan to use your new truck.

Ahhh, and here in lies my problem. How I want to use my truck (I'm envisioning highspeed off-road or some type of cool overland setup) vs how I actually use my truck (highway driving/take kids to school, and explore new trails/dirt roads with them on the weekends).

Hopefully this next year I'll be able to start planning for a Carli setup...I guess for how I actually use it.

Glad your rig is coming together though!

@OmahaBravo what didnt he like about them?

Honestly I think my only complaint is I should have gone F rated and needed to watch my pressures. I ran if for a bit too long too low and started to get some uneven wear, but thats my fault -- non necessarily the tire.

I think they are wearing down decently quickly, but Im also over 11,000 curb weight, sometimes with a trailer, and a LOT of miles of dirt roads. I try to rotate now every 5k but I think the damage is done.

I have had a lot of tires over the years on various vehicles. The Toyo MT is bombproof but starts to howl at speed. Toyo At3 is well, perfection. I was hoping the RT Trail was a hybrid of the two and so far I think it is.

I will however be going to the AT3 hopefully next month but that is mostly because the truck will be seeing a ton of highway miles next year overseas and I would like the MPG and quiet.

I should have just left it at "how do you like the RTs". I didnt get much detail other than he didnt like it.

Thanks for pictures and the info!

Full catalog e-venture kit here and couldn't be happier. It's especially noticeable when I sit passenger in friends trucks with stock 3/4-1T suspension. WHOA! I agree...Carli is the real deal.
