Exhaust Tips

I ordered a twin tip from Summit Racing for my 7.3 gasser. I liked the look of the diesel tips. I also used black high temp paint to paint the tail pipe.

I went with the Gibson Patriot exhaust that leaves the front resonator to keep any cab drone to a minimum. Love the sound, but I had to make significant modifications to make it fit. Front pipe was too long, rear pipe was then too short (had to purchase an adapter for extra length needed), rear pipe hanging bracket was in the wrong location. Made it work long enough to get to the exhaust shop and paid them to fix the issues. Was it worth it, yes, truck actually runs better due to less restriction, but what a pain in the a-s.

I removed the big azz muffler and left all resonators. Zero drone and nice deep sound. Not loud whatsoever. Most affordable way to get some 7.3 sound.
