Yesterday morning in Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Spent the rest of the day driving through Ouray, Silverton, and stayed the night in Durango. On to amesa Verde today!!

It's been an amazing trip. Picked up the truck at Granger in Iowa, and am slowly making our way home. Unfortunately didn't make it through Telluride. We chose to go through Ouray and Silverton instead. They certainly didn't disappoint. The colors have been incredible.

Trail head at Mt. Whitney CA, at around 9000 ft. Mt Whitney is the highest mountain in the contiguous US and the Sierra at 14,505 ft. No, I did not climb to the summit. 
Found a wide open parking spot playing on narrow mountain shelf trails the tremor almost fits on in the Colorado Rockies, we tried driving up pikes peak at 14,100 give or take but it’s reservations only & none available when we tried
